I thought it was about time I posted a photo of our gorgeous little Abbey! This is the best I can do - she doesn't exactly do standing still and posing!

Clever Kaiden!!

Look at what baby Kaiden decided he could do today - SIT UP BY HIMSELF! And he doesn't just sit there for 2 seconds and fall over either, he sits there for about 20 seconds I reckon. Which may sound like not very long at all but considering yesterday he wouldn't even bend in half let alone bend AND sit, he's doing a great job!!

Dear Torie...

This morning I had a comment left from Torie...

"It is hard to be a mama. It is the best thing in the world, but it is hard.You are a great mom."

It bought a tear to my eye.

So I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Torie...For saying something so sweet and meaningful to me and for telling me exactly what I needed to hear, without me even asking or hinting for her to say it.

I like my blog to be a fun place and I hardly ever write about things that have gone wrong lately or bad things that have happened. I don't like to have a bitch about people who have annoyed me or things that have upset me.

And I'm not going to start now. I do have one question though...

Why can someone who lives on the opposite side of the world say something so touching yet those who are around me everyday say nothing?

Steph said I rock - it made my day!! And it must be true if she said so, cos she knows all about being a "rockin' blogger"...I love reading Steph's blog, her kidlets are adorable and she has a little Noah too which makes her rock in my book! Her's is one of the blogs I read almost daily and am always waiting for new picci's. Her stories make me laugh and occasionally make me cry, she is one of the best blogger's going around so make sure you check her out!

Bye Bye Chantelle!

Today we went to the airport and waved Chantelle goodbye. We were so sad to see her go but it will be the last time we have to wave her off - in 15 weeks she will be back here for good and I'm never letting her go anywhere again! I am sure that time will fly by, so see you soon CC!!

Dedicated To My Mum...

I would just like to say -

I LOVE MY MUM.

She is an angel.

Kaiden has been really testing the last two weeks or so, I think it has been mainly his teeth. He was still sleeping beautifully - 11 hours at night, two 3 or 4 hour sleeps during the day. But when he was awake he was horrid. I hope that doesn't make me sound like a bad mother...but it was true. He wouldn't let me put him down anywhere, he needed constant entertainment and cuddles. He would scream if I was out of sight.

Then Saturday night, yes the night of my public humiliation, he and Noah stayed at my Mum's. And he came back on Sunday....

PERFECT.

And I mean perfect.

He is back to his usual, happy self. In fact he is almost happier than he has ever been. He is still sleeping exactly the same and he is more than content to lay on the floor and play by himself, or sit in his walker.

So I would just like to say to my Mum...

THANK YOU!

I have no idea what you did to bring back our happy little "Kaiden Banger" (Craig and Noah's wonderful little nickname for him) but I am forever grateful.

And when he gets his next lot of teeth, I am sending him to your house :-)

This Programme Is Rated...

I need to work on my bad-ass-ness!! I guess this IS a family orientated site...but sometimes kids can be little you-know-whats...maybe I should start saying what I REALLY think about Kaiden when he is teething. Apparently the worst I have said on here is crap...

Our Quick Trip To Lonnie...

Today we went for a quick trip into Launceston to get some new lights for outside. It was good to get out of the house for a little while, even though it was cold and windy. We had lunch and bought a cord for my camera (hence the video's on the blog now) and we went to Family Fun.

It's one of those places where they have all those arcade type games and you need endless supplies of $1 and $2 coins...well I managed to win not one but two toys on those Skill Tester machines and Craig won one as well. So we came home with THREE toys - a Magician Dog for Noah, a Ducky for Kaiden and a little Dragon which Craig and I will have to share! It was heaps of fun! And the kiddies seemed very impressed with their $2 toys!

This Morning At My House...

This is what I get to wake up to every morning...Kaiden is always so pleased to see someone peering into his cot after a big sleep :-)

Daddy and Kaiden sharing a banana for breakfast...Kaiden seemed more interested in eating the skin rather than the actual banana!

All dressed for a big day...20 minutes later he went back to bed!

29 Going On 9...

This was our entertainment this afternoon - Craig getting out the old ROLLERBLADES!! Ha ha! You should have seen him scoot down the driveway, jump over the gutter onto the road and nearly fall flat on his face...classic!

Pity the batteries in my camera died or I would have got plenty more shots i GUARANTEE it!! But don't worry everyone, I'm certain I can get him to do it again...

Kaiden Is Strange...

The redder his cheeks seem to get, the happier he is! This is by far the rosiest his cheeks have been and this morning, he is so much more cheerful than he has been the last few days. How does that make sense??




He certainly told Donkey all about it though...He spent 10 minutes chatting away to him. Good ol' Donkey :-)

More "Keeping Kaiden Happy" Tricks!

Glued to the TV watching Hi5...Hooray for Hi5!

Batteries in his play gym...half an hour of giggles for him and uninterrupted Home And Away time for me last night:-)

Some Jolly Jumping time...According to Noah, Kaiden is wearing his Captain Jack Sparrow Hat....Ha ha ha :-)

But the winner is...

Good old Bread And Butter...I have no idea if this is suitable food for a 6 month old or not, but it's kept him happy for nearly 20 minutes!!

Another Baby...Another Hi5 Fan

Kaiden has been really crabby the last few days...I'm not good with crabby babies!! I'm sure, in the scheme of things, he really isn't very demanding at all. I'm just so used to the laid back, happy Kaiden that he seems very crabby to me! He isn't enjoying just laying on the floor like he used to, he wants me to play with him all the time. As soon as I am out of sight, he pulls out his sad face and screams. I guess I should take it as some kind of compliment - he misses me when I'm gone perhaps??
But one thing has saved me - Hi5. Noah LOVED Hi5. But not from this early age. He didn't start watching dvd's until he was about a year old. But Kaiden, well he's going to be a square eyed little thing I think. He can be as crabby as anything and as soon as I bung on Hi5 - instant peace and quiet. Hi5 is heaven...

Would You Let This Little Man Drive Your Car??

The other day we went for a drive out to the bush so Abbey could go for a run. She loves it, and she can run so fast! She easily keeps us with the ute at about 45km/h, when we hit 60km/h she drops back a bit. But thats pretty fast isn't it!!

Craig always lets Noah drive when we get out there. He is very partial to try going round the bends like they are right angles and wandering across the road when he sees something of interest...but all guys do that don't they?! ;-)
